Edinburgh meet up 8th Nov

There is going to be a small gathering on Saturday 8th November in Edinburgh for a pub lunch/meet, so if anyone wanted to attend I’d recommend contacting Rob or posting in this thread on Acorn, any domainers/developers or internet orientated entreprenuers welcome. A month away so plenty of notice, I will probably be staying overnight if anyone fancies a pint 🙂

Edit: Phew, I was just about to post this on PCs.co.uk lol wrong blog, - must arrange my bookmarks better or change the login area colour.

  1. I suspect it hasn’t escaped your attention that pcs.co.uk is now on the front page for a search for “pcs” 😉 Great work - you are my domain hero (unfortunately this isn’t enough to reach my overall top 10 heroes, but it’s a start!).

    • Thanks Peter for the backhanded compliment 🙂 ‘PCS’ is also in the news a lot today as they (.org.uk) are a union who are upset at HP laying of 3000 employees so traffic spike!

  2. It’s unfortunate I gave the impression it was a backhanded compliment - it wasn’t! I think you’ve pulled it off splendidly.

I make a tidy profit off a similar (though far less generic) single phrase, so once you’re ranking generally on lots of PC phrases, you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank 🙂

  3. I’ll be there, posted a reply on the thread bud.

  4. Count me in, will be good to meet a few more foreign folk

  5. Green with envy! I spent a year in Edingburgh, and it was one of the most fun years I’ve had. Great pubs. Only problem is the beer they serve is universally horrible. You get used to it after a while, but it really is rank. I’ve been in the US for nearly 20 years now, but I always tell folks heading to the UK to bypass London and go straight to Edinburgh. Amazing place. Hope you have a fun gathering.

  6. I used to stay in Glasgow, knowing this I’ll definitely drop by Edinburgh to enjoy a pint with you! Well, but now it’s really going to be quite costly to fly all the way 13 hours to have that pint.

Thanks for the link to the Acorn forum. Hadn’t seen it before and there’s lots of useful stuff for a relative newbie to the field of domaining
