At the moment there isn't anything that Chrome can offer me above what I get from FF and IE. Maybe in time I will change but for now Im sticking with FF. Im not going to change just for the sake of it. Falling pound is good for those piblishers in the UK, especially if you hold shares in US companies as well :)

Looks like I'm going to have to try out Chrome this weekend... if only to be in with the in crowd! :-)

I'm just nervous that it will render my site differently and that means yet another browser to account for when designing.

Cheers, Jon

Welcome to join the "dark side" of the browser war, Al =) For many years, as I know you have been a loyal Microsoft fan, this must be something that strongly attracted you to its use.

I've now switched to Chrome on my main desktop for the majority of my browsing. I normally have dozens of windows and tabs open and the performance is great.

I have just downloaded this morning and run it today. My first experience is great! I've also written a review for this new web browser on <a href="http://www.softsift.com/200809/chrome-web-browser-by-google.html">SoftSift</a>.

Anyway, this is definitely highly recommended for those who thinks Firefox is winning over Microsoft IE. Well, this is far more likely to be a possible contender.

So far I'm really impressed with Chrome. As web programmer I am pleased to see browser developers put more emphasis on JavaScript performance.

Try putting about:internets in the address bar of Chrome. It's a nice easter egg. :-)

I really like Google Chrome. It's so fast and well designed. It takes me less than five minutes to set my default browser to it. My only complaint is sometimes "back" button doesn't work because the last page use redirect.

I'm actually quite anxious to try out Google Chrome, but alas, there are two things holding me back:
1. No extensions. Therefore, my HTML signature in gmail is a no-go
2. I'm on a Mac, and thus far Chrome is only PC-based
