Happy 4th of July!

Are you paying too much for your dedicated server, Scott makes a very valid point.

If the worst happens here’s an informative video on how to do a re-inclusion request to Google.

Kieron Donoghue from here.org.uk fame has just launched a content writing and ethical link building service, Content Now.co.uk.

Al’s been invited to speak at the A4uExpo, scary stuff.

Nominet finally drag themselves into the modern age and make UK domain transfers a seemless ONLINE process, negating the need for paperwork/scanning/signing and posting, I have used it and it’s such a refreshing change to be able to instantly transfer UK domains - still costs £11.75 a time though but progress.

Finally got round to sending some emails yesterday regarding my new sailing website I mentioned here, this morning I had my first paid review - £75 for a business listing so thats £575 left to go before I’m paid back.

Did you know what the most popular language online is?

The number of Internet blogs in Japan stood at about 16.9 million as of January 2008, with about 20 percent of Japan’s 88.11 million Internet users involved in blogging, a survey by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has found.

The number of blogs across the world totaled about 70 million, by language, Japanese topped the list, accounting for about 37 percent of all blogs. Second was English, at around 36 percent, while Chinese stood in third place at roughly 8 percent. The figures highlight the popularity of blogs in Japan.

Thanks for posting the link to UK Sail, it’s always interesting to see the sites you work on. It looks very nice and professional! Did you have to re-design it or was it like that?

It looked like it was built in 1999 Martin :)
I bought a template for $60 and re-did the pages myself so a cheap re-design but effective enough I think.

It works well indeed, doesn’t look cheap at all. Good job and good luck with it! :-)
