Think Tankers Summer Camp

Think Tank 2008

One of the key features of Elite Retreat was the networking with the other attendees, I learnt more from them than the actual speakers. One of the organizers and all round good guy Dave (AKA dk) spoke about creating an event purely for networking, so there would be no speakers just like minded attendees with knowledge to share. Dave isn’t the type of guy to say he might do something, he either will or won’t and I’m delighted to say Think Tank 2008 is go.

The event is being held in San Diego on September 27th and 28th. Attendees so far include, two speakers from this years Elite Retreat Neil Patel and Andy Liu along with Pamela Lund, Jeremy Hermanns, Aaron Chronister AKA The Mad Hat and myself. there will also be organizer extroidanaire David Klein and his excellent team.

The event is invitation only or by personal referral, so if you fancy a bit of networking on the beach and in the sun check it out (if you need a referral let me know). Prices are on a ladder scale (the earlier you register the cheaper it is) with the current vacant step being $699. Also if you book early with Virgin you can get Upper Class tickets for under £2,000 (London to LAX) so prepare to be pampered 🙂 .

  1. Thank you for the kind words about the ThinkTank. I must say, that I met many of the best people I know because of Shoemoney’s Elite Retreat. It was an amazing event, and I really enjoyed the speakers.

I had already decided I was going to do the ThinkTank2008, event before I went to the Elite Retreat, but after seeing how amazing it was, I was even more pumped up. I owe an awful lot to Jeremy for helping me in many ways.

I think the event in San Diego is going to be unreal, and will profoundly change Internet business events for the future. I haven’t even had time to send invitations out yet, but we already have 6 very influential, brilliant people signed up.

Much Love for the write up and the link!

  2. Networking is definately the way to go. Do you know if there are other people waiting in the wings to join in or do we already have the group as it is announced ?

    • Hi Peter, There are definitely more spaces available though I would expect them to go as it hasn’t been publicly announced yet. Dave is also a big friend of Jeremy (Shoemoney) and if it gets written about over there then a lot of people will know about it.

ThinkTank2008 is definitely a go!! I am hotwheelz, one of Dk’s “excellent team” members, and I can’t wait to watch the event unfold. 🙂 Bring your thinking caps and your party pants because we are going to have a blast!! See ya soon.

  4. I think I’ve just gotten permission from my wife! Although I do well from IM, I have never attended an event before or spoken to other IM’ers, so I’m quite excited 🙂

    • I’m going!!! Soooo excited. I got in at the $699 slot which is now sold out. I couldn’t justify Virgin’s £2K upper class fare, so it’s a £380 cattle class ticket for me. I can’t wait to meet everyone.

      • Excelent Jon, will be great to have another Brit to talk to.

Which flights are you on, mine are:
        Outgoing: Thurs 25 SEP 15:10
        Incoming: Mon 29 SEP 20:55

  5. Different flights I’m afraid. 09.30 from Gatwick on Thurs & leaving late on Mon. Just the hotel to book now.

  6. Hope i could attend the same gathering in the future:)
