How to speak like a loser

I might create another site
I might do that as well
Cool, I might try it
I might go to that networking event
I see blog comments and forum posts like that just about everyday and when ever I do the writer loses all credibilty. I find when people say might you can safely swap it for won’t. By saying might you are putting off the actual decision until later (read never in 99% of cases), so next time you’re about to say ‘might’ change it to will or don’t bother saying it at all.
If you think I might be wrong, tell me in a comment, unless you’re thinking you might leave a comment.

So true. And it’s always those “watch me on my journey to make xx in internet marketing” blogs.
I’m thinking they MIGHT be spam comments (i.e. comments for the sake of commenting)
I must say, living so far away from these conferences is a good excuse to say “I might make it to one of them one of these days”…
might = they won’t get to it
will = they probably won’t get to it
did = it’s time to start listening
Good points there papa rage.
You are absolutely right Al. I can’t say that I have never done it myself but I am constantly focusing on the way I speak and that is one of the things that I try to avoid saying/writing.
I might, or might not agree with you. Maybe. Not. I’m so confused right now.
Haha. I have heard that said so often and always looked to whoever was with me and said “they won’t do it!”
Action speaks louder than words and it is true that certain words does indicate a very high probability of the what subconscious think. I might = good idea but I don’t think I will ever get to it.
LOL!
I might post some decent comment later on.
Great post!
you might be right
I sometimes use “might” to be polite. As in, “I might read this book you are recommending” (I appreciate the gesture but chances are I will forget the title in the next 5 minutes). Also, when I say “might” I mean “might”. “Don’t be surprised to see me there, but don’t count on it either.” People know “might” means “probably not” anyway.
This is so true - not just online, either. I have several friends who are intrigued by the fact that I have websites and make a steady side income online. They’re always telling me stuff like, “I should do that, too” or “Maybe I’ll start a site, too.”
Never happens.
All so true. It’s great that so much information is posted online. A lot of people will read it but only a very small % will actually do anything with it.
That’s also why folks can sell thousands of copies of their “secrets” in an ebook or video because they know a lot will purchase the information and just save it to their computer doing nothing with it until they buy the next best thing.
I find there are two types of people (I find this very much in the day job). There are those who do and those who don’t!
Actually getting off your backside and doing something is the first step to being sucessful.
[...] might consider selling for that Other funny thing with this widget is not only does the badge link back [...]
My point… is: if they really wanted to do that, they have done it already. It seems that everyone “want do to” so many things, and they always tell everyone in open blogs, but they never seem to do anything. Losers with big mouth?
