Unethical was probably the wrong word, unsportamsnly is a better way of putting it. You’re absolutely right though his opponents should of learnt to deal with it.

I wouldn’t call it unethical. I’d call it clever. It’s not like they couldn’t have done the exact same thing to him. Plus, once he did it once, they should have been on to him. It seems to me that if you can fight someone, you should also be able to figure out how to keep him from pushing you out of the boundaries.

I’m glad someone finally mentioned what happened to Tyler. I’ve been wondering. I’ve definitely had catastrophic server failures and I hate to say but I still don’t have super redundant backups; better than I used to but not perfect by any means. It’s gotta be really awful for poker-forums.

Good post. I just wanted to add a little value to the post as well.

I wrote a post a while ago regarding a client who asked me to put a backup procedure in place.

For those interested in a backup tool look at Site-Vault. I’m using it for some time and I sleep better at night

The impression I’ve been given is there is no backup at all and with the sort of site it is it would be impossible to recreate from a Google cache. Hopefully he’ll at least find some forgotten backup.
