Off to Elite Retreat

One of my aims for 2008 is to expand the affiliate marketing side of my business, I did quite well in December but still have a lot to learn so it’s time to re-invest some of the profits into a trip to San Fransico to attend and learn from the experts at Elite Retreat.

Elite Retreat is a workshop where you can learn from experts in their fields. Speakers include Jeremy Schoemaker, Neil Patel, Aaron Wall, Andy Liu, Brian Clark and a keynote speech from Guy Kawasaki. As well as the various talks you also get one on one time with each of the speakers to talk about your business.

It’s a 2 day event which costs a hefty $5K and from the reviews I’ve read (eMoms at Home, Mitchel Harad, pepperjam and Chris Hooley) it’s well worth the price with attendees making the ticket price back in the first month or so.

I’ll be posting about the event when I’m there (April 3rd and 4th) and I’m already really excited about attending. Another first for me is I’ll be flying Virgin Upper class, so I get a chair that converts into a bed (no more fighting for elbow room), a bar you can sit at on the plane and a chauffeur driven car to the airport, cool!

If you’re interested there are still 18 spots available (at time of writing) and it it comes with a 100% money back guarantee (which includes flights) courtesy of Jeremy, if you are attending let me know before hand as it would be great having a chat and getting to know people before the event.

  1. Congrats on going Al - makes me wish I could be at this one to finally meet you in person! You will LOVE it - so glad to see that you are going! :)

  2. Looking forward to hearing your report on this.

Virgin Upper class sounds wild! Did not realize such accomodations were available.

    • Yeah Virgin Upper Class sounds wild, for the dates I wanted it worked out not “too” much more expensive and I’ve wanted to try it for a while so found lots of excuses, being able to arrive refreshed, work on the plane etc. But it was the bar and free massages that did it :)

  3. Elite Retreat does look good. I have been reading a few reviews over the last few months too. I hope all goes good over there for you!

  4. It sounds like a great trip… I wish I could afford it. The good thing is that you will be able to tell us a lot of the things you learn there. I hope you enjoy :)

  5. You’ll have to tell us if these “web-celebs” are like their persona (especially shoemoney lol)

  6. Wow, the chance to talk with Guy Kawasaki about business and get his feedback - that alone is worth at least $5k. Will be adding this one to my goal list, might be able to make it fit for next year (is this an annual event?) Thanks for bringing this to our attention and have a great time!

  7. Oh man, my new favicon did a funky, any suggestions? Will attempt a resize on my end to see if it helps. (Then again, it does catch the eye and bring attention, hmmm.)

  8. Hey Al..

Peter Askew here.. I’ll be at Elite Retreat as well.. drop me a line if you wanna touch base beforehand..

    regards,
