A good week for me and quite productive overall, my Adsense earnings have been shockingly poor the last 2 weeks, from what I can see it is due to a downturn in search volume for my keywords more than anything else, I am glad I have other sources.
I was contacted today about leasing a domain name of mine that would be worth 5 figures over 2-3 years so that could be new territory ahead, just before I wrap things up here for the day and look forward to a weekend of football I’ll share some links to things of interest this week that Al and I found.
Michael Gilmour tells his story of how he got into domaining.
Cool article on Fast Company about a 17 year old who is making a very nice online income with her site Whatever Life. Found via the blog Dosh Dosh which is also a very good read.
Some great productivity tips courtesy of ProBlogger readers.
Multiply, a social network aimed at 30-somethings with over 10 million users in August, has announced venture funding of $16.6 million, found via VentureBeat, I had never even heard of them until today.
After seeing Purple Cow mentioned on Acorn I bought 2 copies and just started reading it last night, anyone read it? I’m not much of a bookworm but this book is both entertaining and enlightening with many points of note to take away when you read it.
Why did you buy 2 copies?
On the forum there was a deal for 2 & it came in a cool limited edition milk carton and it’s my sisters birthday soon so for an extra fiver ..sorted
I just finished reading the purple cow. I love the metaphor so I read the book.
My favorite chapters were on fear.
“The problem with the cow” and “follow the leader”
How time flies, it’s another Friday. I was comparing my AdSense performance this week, over the last weeks, and it is slightly poor for my case too. But I guess, Al probably know why - life of getting busy.
Tomorrow will be a day of shopping for me to get some nice formal top and pants.
I’ve also read Purple Cow this summer, and I can say that it was a good book, like all Seth materials.
If you like the book you’ll probably also like his blog: http://sethgodin.typepad.com
Seths a good writer and the only author in his genre that Ive purchased a book from, though I do say hes a much better writer than blogger.
