Septemeber 2006 - A small downturn

Over the last few months the growth of CG’s traffic and revenue had been exciting to watch so September was something of an anti-climax with both staying pretty level or dropping slightly. Which in retrospect works quite well as I’m currently on holiday and it means there is not too much to write about, so every cloud and all :).

Traffic

Visitors: 250,798 (238,616)
Page Views: 519.,998 (536,057)

The figures in brackets are for the previous month, Aug 2006.

Revenue

September 2006
Google Adsense 4,241.64 (4,747.13)
Chitika 155.27 (201.57)
Commision Junction 395.81 (238.03)
Total 4,792.72 (5,186.73)

The one plus point with the revenue was the increase in revenue from Commission Junction. This was down to a variety of products mainly from Think Geek, I think it was more due to me reporting on desirable products rather than the time of year.
.
Conclusion
As previously mentioned not too much to say about September, if you have any questions feel free to ask but as I’m hopefully lounging by a pool; it may take a little while for me to answer :) .

Good to see it was still going well for you. I hope the holiday turns out better then the one you posted about before with the server problems.

Have you managed to figure what was wrong with it? what might have caused it?

is it a seasonal thing? it would be interesting to see what happens this September.

Make the most of that sunshine and warm weather, all though to be fair the weather here in the UK today has been fair. Looking forward to reading your next entry, it’s always enjoyable reading the history of a $100k site.
